  1. My third and final crit of the day:
    Weiwei Kong

At first I was a little confused about what it was, but with a quick explanation and some closer inspections-a mixed collection of the wider Auckland City, creating two shadows in order to make the original and the other a more abstract distorted vision of the original. I didn't think the choice of materials was the best or perhaps a mix up of different colour/thicknesses would have been more effective. And the light in the studio wasn't so great-which is why when dealing with a light workshop you must show photos of it in a dimmer light.

Great use and understanding of illustrator, showing a true understanding of how it works. And looking through her blog showed some very effective photos and photo-shopping to put it in context-which I think is what it needed in the first place. And when I really looked through the blog I soon began to really appreciate the work a bit more than the crit, Especially the shadow that appeared from the model-looks amazing!

Photoshopping skills are really good too, so much that i can't even tell if some are photoshopped or not, bringing out a true brilliance in the work and camera work provided. Great Job.
